Holly to exhibit with york textile artists in october

I am pleased to share that I recently joined York Textile Artists. Outside of Thread and Press CIC, I make a lot of textile artwork, mostly textile portraits! I have spent the last 12 months working hard on Thread and Press CIC projects, but quietly working on some new textile portrait work in the background. I use a combination of painting and free-motion machine embroidery to make small and large artworks. In fact, my latest piece (nearly finished) is my largest yet. A selection of my work will be on show alongside some other fantastic textile work by York Textile Artists members at their annual exhibition Fragments of Imagination at Cemetery Chapel, York on Saturday 10th October and Sunday 11th October from 10am - 4pm. It is free entry and there will hot drinks, demonstrations and a little shop too! Do come a long and get some textile inspiration - we'd love to see you.
