Screenprinting Fabrics

Our fantastic screen-printing fabrics workshop returns and is better than ever! Learn how to screenprint your own fabrics using your own photos or artwork! 

 

How does it work?

If you book on this workshop, we will email you (we use the email address you provide when booking via Craft Courses) to send you a short video to watch, which explain what we need from you - line drawings, or even photos that we can turn into suitable images. You then send these to us by email or post and we will prepare them, and show you a copy for your approval. We then expose your artwork onto a screen ready to use on the day. Please note, due to the nature of the preparation, we close bookings at least two weeks prior to the workshop. If we are unable to make contact with you at least 2 weeks prior to the workshop, we will automatically cancel and refund your booking. 

 

In the session, you will be shown how to dye fabrics using hand-painting methods, ready to print onto. You will also be shown how to use your screen and print in layers suing different colours. You will learn how to work in repeating patterns and how to create pieces of fabric that you can use for all sorts of projects, with your own unique design.

This isn't a t-shirt printing workshop -  you create four or five images that we then use in different combinations to make wonderful fabrics. Want to keep your screen to use at home? You can choose to buy it on the day for as little as £25. All materials and equipment are provided, but you are welcome to bring extra fabrics to print onto if you wish.
