10 Reasons to love our lino printing onto fabric workshop
t's back! Printing is my first true love and bloc:k printing is one of my favourites. We are pleased to be running this workshop again in November. Here are 10 reasons to love lino printing onto fabric:
It is fairly easy to learn and suitable for all abilities - we have traditional lino and easy cut lino available.
The 'reveal' as you peel back your block to see your final print, is very exciting.
Who doesn't love pattern? I certainly do. And if you carve the right block you can print WONDERFUL repeat pattern fabrics.
You can lino print onto fabrics BEAUTIFULLY. We use wash sfe inks so you can turn your fabrics into anything.
We've added a bit more to this session - not only can you print a panel of fabric to use for your own projects, you can print a t-shirt, a tea towel or a tote bag too - all included. Want to keep printing? You can purchase additional items to print on by paying a small cash or electronic transfer on the day.
This one is a Saturday workshop! It is a great way to spend a weekend. We also welcome older children (age 13 upwards) to attend if they are booked in alongside another adult.
Everyone is always so impressed with what they achieve in the session. The outcomes are always such good quality.
You don't need to be good at drawing - you can bring images along to trace from or use some of our design templates - everyone can join in!
It is great value for money - as far as printing techniques go, this one is affordable and easy to replicate at home. You keep your block to use again and again - print more at any time!
We teach and support you every step of the way - so BEGINNERS WELCOME. We also supply you with endless tea, coffee and biscuits while you work.
Lino Printing onto Fabrics is running at Allerthorpe Village Hall (near Pocklington) on Saturday 14th November from 10am - 3.30pm - place available. 10% multiple person discount.
